The Clinical Reasoning Cycle 0n a case study on Janet McKay.Mrs Janet McKay is an 86 year old widow who lives in the Sunset Residential Aged Care Facility.Janet recently returned from the acute care hospital after a hip replacement following a fall and time in the rehabilitation ward.She mobilises with a wheelie walker but she forgets to use it on a regular basis. Janet has early stage Alzheimer’s disease and Vascular dementia that is progressing slowly. She is intermittently incontinent, usually because she cannot reach the toilet in time. Janet has a large skin tear on her (R) lower leg from bumping against her wheelie walker. Janet has always been an independent-minded person with strong opinions. She tends to argue with the staff when they want to shower her, and on occasion has pushed a carer away when the carer tried to take her arm and lead her to the shower. Current medications:
Paracetamol OSTEO TDS
Aspirin 100 mg daily
Desmopressin 0.2mg nocte
