I will discuss Paula Jones’/President Clinton’s sexual Harassment case. In 1991 Clinton, was the governor of Arkansas. Paula Jones was a state employee. Paula claimed the president exposed himself to her in a hotel room for sexual activity.
The outcome of this case was the president denied all allegations. After four years, he agrees to pay her 850,00 thousand dollars to drop the sexual harassment lawsuit. Clinton made it clear that he was eager to put this matter behind so he could focus on the problems that he was elected to solve. He would not spend one more hour on this matter. The federal appeals court requires the president to pay within 60 days. Jones’s allegations pave the way for the investigation of the president’s sex life. Jones claimed she never received an apology from the president of any kind. This activity led to the worst political crisis of the Clinton carer, and he was the third presidential impeachment in American history.
Paula Should not have waited seven years to address the allegations that she bought upon president Clinton. Reporting sexual harassment cases is very important and should not be taken lightly. She should not have expected any kind of guilt or apology from the president because he acknowledged no wrongdoing in the case. When a sexual harassment claim appears years later, this brings up a question regarding what happened on that actual day. Americans can rest for sure that allegations of sexual harassment will be recognized, not matter how long it has been.
