For the public company that you decided to analyze for this class, please give the following and attach as one Word document. Be sure to support your answers with definitions from the textbook and information from the company that you have chosen. Be sure to identify which question you are answering and to cite all ideas that are not yours.
The three parts to this assignment are:
List three long term objectives that the company is attempting to reach. Give one short term objective that you would institute as CEO to help achieve each of the three long term objectives. You may make them up, but be sure that they support the long term objective that you believe the company is trying to achieve.
Analyze the company’s primary competitive advantage(s). Give specific examples of why you think that this (or these) are the primary competitive advantages.
Analyze the company’s overall strategy, using the information in Chapters 7, 8, and 9. Give specific examples of why you think that this is their overall strategy.
Note: A competitive advantage is defined as something that gives a company an advantage in the marketplace over their competitors. The competitive advantage should be hard for competitors to imitate. Sometimes first in the marketplace is an advantage, but it might only be a short-term one if competitors can copy it. Arizona State University defined it also as: an advantage gained over competitors by offering customers greater value, either through lower prices or by providing additional benefits and service that justify similar, or possibly higher, prices.
