Project Details

Paper Topic : Task B – Ch3 Research Methods Style : APA Language Style : English (U.K.) Type of Assignment : Research Paper Deadline : 1 Days Acedemic Level : Post Graduate Level Number of pages : 8 Number of Sources : 1       Order Instructions           A) I need a writer to help with just one chapter (Ch3 which is 15 to 20 pages), some texts are available which could be used. Ch3 is a research methods chapter and just follows a template. Instructions are quite clear and simple and so the time line which is 7 full days + feedback. I have some texts for Ch 3 which is old but some sections can be used for the new approved structure. I have attached the new chapter outline structure and instructions as well as the old text for Ch3 so you can share it with the team to finish up Ch 3. This chapters is quite straight forward and not complicated like others. I am sure your professional team can provide a first draft very soon. I will send the instructions for the other urgent task (Task A, some editing of a Literature Review chapter) next. Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Hi,
1) Please update the deadline. It’s not 4 days.
2) I have written this section as well. Please use with no change:

3.3.2 Phenomenological Study
By validity and reliability of a given study, assessment of a qualitative research and case studies is usually carried out (Yin, 2003; Healy & Perry, 2000; Miles & Huberman, 1994b). When data collection and analysis of the collected data are fulfilled via an approach that results in a precise reflection and representation of the phenomenon under inquiry (Yin, 2011), then the research study is considered to be valid. Furthermore, reliability focuses on the appropriateness of the research instruments used (Churchill, 1987). If the research instrument leads in the same data whenever it is used, and that any potential deviation in the data is due completely to the phenomenon under investigation, an acceptable level of reliability is achieved (Denscombe, 2003). With the purpose of ensuring the reliability and validity of the research, procedures that reinforce a study’s arguments, findings, or explanations of events should be applied by researchers (Maxwell, 2009; Yin, 2011)

TIP: find papers that used phenomenological inquiries and analysis their methods sections!

3.1 Introduction (0.5p)

– What is this chapter all about?

– you discuss the research methods that were applied and justify their use

– you will tell the reader about how you applied them and that is it!

– briefly explain structure of chapter

3.2 Overview and Justification of Research Approach

– Include a bridging sentence/para here. Tell reader that you utilize a complementary 2-study research design, with S1 using conceptual study that adopts organizational level lens, and S2 using phenomenological inquiry to explore IT Governance decision making processes from perspective of actors/individuals involved in these processes.

3.2.1 Conceptual Study

3.2.1.1 Overview of Research Method (2/3-4p)

What is a conceptual study? Maybe provide definitions from literature

– What does it do? What are strengths/weaknesses

How does it work?

Where has it been applied before (disciplines and phenomena), where in IS research?

à Example: ‘conceptual studies have a long history in IS research, with precedence in areas ranging from cloud computing (CITE), ITG (CITE) to sociomateriality (CITE)…’

3.2.1.2 Application and Study Design (1/2p)

à You explain to the reader how you did YOUR conceptual study

– Summary: Explain why conceptual study is the right and most appropriate method for your work and research questions

3.2.2 Phenomenological Study (as above)

3.2.2.1 Overview of Research Method

à SEE PUBLISHED PAPERS USING THE METHOD

What is a phenomenological study? Maybe provide definitions from literature

3.2.2.2 Application and Study Design

Same as above

3.3 Assuring Validity and Reliability of the Research

3.3.1 Conceptual Study (1-2p)

Identify criteria for validity and reliability of the method. List in table, show how you addressed each criterion and discuss in text.

3.3.2 Phenomenological Study (1-2p)

same

3.4 Chapter Summary (0.5p)

– Tell reader that you will explain actual application of both methods in sections Chapter 4 (conceptual study) and Ch 5 (phenomenological study), respectively
