Literature Review Paper
Each student will complete a stand-alone literature review focusing on a specific topic in
management or leadership. Students must choose a topic from the “Literature Review
Topics Handout Which is the topic above” The literature review will include critical analysis of different
writings
on the topic and will not be simply a listed description of such works. The paper will
include the following main sections:
• Provide a Title Page for their paper
• Provide an abstract for their topic
• Provide an introduction to the topic to include your point of view (proposition) on
the topic
• Explain why the topic is important
• Explain why studies/articles chosen to be included in the literature review are
important
• Integrate the key details of the literature (articles) to support your view
(proposition) on the topic
• Identify inconsistencies in the literature and offer explanations to address these
inconsistencies
• Conclude by making clear how the material in the review has supported your
view (proposition) as presented in the introduction.
• Provide a Reference Page(s) for the paper
The paper will be typed, double-spaced, use Times New Roman in 12-point font and
otherwise follow APA formatting standards. The length of the paper should be
approximately 15 – 20 pages in length.
You must include at least eight (8) peer-reviewed academic articles in your paper to
support your literature review.
You should follow, “Guidelines for writing a literature review” by Helen Mongan-Rallis for
assistance with this assignment.
To complete this assignment you must:
1. Submit a preliminary plan (due week 2) of your literature review that answers
the following questions:
a. What construct have you chosen for your literature review?
b. Why is the focus of your literature review important to you?
c. What do you hope to learn from completing the literature review?
