Your task is to write a brief (350-400 word) summary on a public health-related news article published within the past month and a half (i.e., any time between May 25, 2020 and July 5, 2020). The article must be related to any of the topics we covered throughout our 6-week session. You may search for public health-related articles online through a variety of sources (e.g., NPR Health, WHO weekly newsletters, health sections of online newspapers, WEBMD.com, public health journals, etc.).In your summary, you must identify the title, source, date and author of the article, and must provide a link to the article. Your summary should include a brief rundown (i.e., synopsis) of the article, not a repetition of the article. Please note that copying/pasting directly from the article is considered plagiarism and will not be allowed (see Plagiarism policy for more information). In addition to the article’s synopsis, your summary must also address the article’s relevance to what you have learned in class about the specific health topic discussed in the article. For example: Reflecting on what you have learned throughout the course, how important is this article now that you know more about this topic? Did this article point out a critical issue about a health problem we discussed in class? Did this article discuss new information about the health problem other than what you learned in this course? Etc. These are only examples of the kinds of questions you want to consider as you write your paper, but you do not need to answer these questions exactly.
