Discussion about music symphony.

Choose one of the 2 major areas examined in this module (opera or symphony). First, provide a brief description/explanation of the genre (forms used, instrumentation, use of text, etc). Then reflect on the pieces utilized on the listening list (that fit your above selection). Then answer the following:

  • What was challenging for you when you studied that composition? (length of the work, language, etc)
  • What strategies did you develop to help yourself gain a better understanding of that challenge?
  • If you were to teach another student or friend about this type of composition, what advice would you give them before they begin studying it?

This submission should be 1 pages, double spaced, 12 point font.
