Discuss the need for quality improvement within the healthcare industry

The need for quality improvement within the healthcare industry dynamically permeates healthcare. Some may feel that some health organizations are exempt from quality improvement initiatives because they provide essential, minimal services. However, I do not believe this to be true. Everyone deserves to have the best care, no matter how trivial or insignificant it may seem to someone else. Healthcare providers must continue to work towards enhancing the lives of patients while giving impeccable customer service in the process. Continuous improvement does not happen and stops at once. It needs to initiate before an issue arises. Just because a healthcare provider can serve thousands, without a single infraction, does not mean they are giving the only service. It means they are skating by with the bare minimum. Seeking to continue improvements is overwhelming, but awareness can bring about change.

Not one healthcare provider can be exempted from improving the quality of its services, procedures, and processes. We live in a time of innovation and creativity. Therefore, a new method will be developed, which may help a patient scale downtime being sick or in surgery. We cannot stop because we have served the population right now. We have to continue to move even when others have slowed down. Our efforts will eventually lead to change in the end. The direction we want healthcare to go is to become better for the patients, our customers. Yes, the healthcare industry is complicated, but seeking to improve quality should not be one of them. God wants us to grow and continue to do better. As Luke 2:52 states, Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man. He grew-and we must do the same.
