The idea behind cloud computing is to transfer and deliver information over the internet by use of technology and infrastructure. It can give remote access to personnel to the cloud to reach the data they need. It creates an on demand access to information via a tech infrastructure that creates a dynamic delivery of information. The basic characteristics of cloud computing systems are the hardware, software, business process simulation, Self-oriented architecture, and knowledge development. The hardware consists of the physical computer. Software includes the program that is implemented in the computer. There is also management of the technology, which is Enterprise Knowledge Development. Then self-oriented architecture that focuses on flexible software and adjust if there are errors. The last is BPS is to experiment with the software and create simulations.

For this week’s discussion post I will be describing the process of data analysis. Data can be defined as the “dates, numbers, images, symbols, letters, and words that represent basic facts and observations about people, processes, measurements, and conditions” (AHIMA 2014b, 42). In order to further disseminate that information it must be analyzed through data analysis. That is the “process of systematically applying statistical and/or logical techniques to describe and illustrate, condense and recap, and evaluate data” (Shamoo & Resnik, 2003). The process of data analysis includes collecting/understanding, cleaning, analyzing and sharing the data. Cleaning data is the largest part of data analysis and it involves scrubbing your data for any inconsistent or incorrect data, this is done to eliminate any data errors (Sue, 2017). Sharing the data can be done through tables, charts, graphs, etc. This is done to improve visualization and understanding to those being presented to. Data analysis is incredibly important to understanding data in meaningul ways.
